Events are what you save speedups, resources and energy for. On a normal day the same action just moves your city forward; during an event it also earns points, a place on the ladder and a reward on top. Hence the simple rule: check which event is running first, and only then spend what you have saved.
Below are all events that have a page here, and at the end a list of what exists in the client but is not described yet.
Server competitions
They run on a schedule, count personal points and pay out by rank.
- Arms Race: five phases with their own points, and an action only scores during its own phase.
- Event Points: how many points each action gives on each event day and what to save up.
- Top Healer: seven competitions in a row, where caravans and falcon tasks are worth the most.
- Dawn Breakout: a thousand soldier cap and ten minutes per level, so heroes decide it, not army size.
- Era Covenant: fifty levels and 35,000 points, covered by daily tasks alone.
- Quiz: fifteen questions, and diamonds are paid even for a wrong answer.
Alliance events
Points are counted for the whole alliance, so skipping one is visible to everyone.
- Alliance Duel: part of the tech tree is locked behind this event, including tier 10 troops.
- Alliance Expedition: six monster points and a bonus that grows with accumulated damage.
- Alliance Excavation: digging in pairs is four times faster, and a crowd saves hours.
- Alliance League: the reward depends both on the alliance rank and on your rank inside it.
- Elixir Scramble: two alliances fight over structures, troops are free and forts bring the points.
- Flag War: six leagues by medals, with a reward even for a loss.
Wars over the map
- Kingdom War: taking the Temple and the Throne, the towers and how opponents are matched.
- Temple Battle: offices with buffs up to 100% and the king's decrees.
- City map: eighty six cities to capture and what ownership gives.
- Black Mine: a separate map for crystal mining, with teams of up to 350.
Limited runs and sorties
Not tied to the server calendar, but each has its own cooldown or attempt limit.
- Expedition: sixty difficulties across three branches.
- Hero Road: nine difficulties with an alliance boss.
- City Siege: ten stages of twenty waves and a two day cooldown.
- Explorer's Dungeon: an eight hour piggy bank plus a one time payout for the secret levels.
- Trials: upgrading gear and weapons pays in universal UR hero fragments.
- Surprise Encounter: one free summon a day and chests for emblems.
- Treasure Maps: seven fragments per map and a guarantee after fifteen tries.
- Caravans: what caravans give by quality and how often they get raided.
- Wheels: two wheels with exact odds, for hero shards and for Raven resources.
Season
- Era: a 56 day season and what opens on which day.
- Virus resistance: the seasonal scale that decides both the monsters you fight and the fight with your neighbour.
What is missing here
The activity table of client 1.0.87 holds a hundred and three distinct names. Thirty six of them are bundles, passes, offers and shop deals: we do not count those as events. Another part is phases of competitions already described. The rest exist in the game but have no page yet:
- Battles and sieges: Undead Siege, Shadow Blight, Pandemic Experience, Survival Battle, Strike First, Eliminate Threats, plus three Demon King fights by faction.
- Map and captures: Crystal Cluster Valley, Canyon Conquest, Rally Elite Blight.
- Random encounters, the same system as Surprise Encounter: Cheese Trap, Dwarven Mine, Strange Bazaar, Blades Out, Thief Hunt, Wandering Phantom, Hunt Battle.
- Holiday events: Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Celebration, Sweetheart Banquet, Banquet Preparation, Teacup Market, Art Market, Lost Card.
- Personal and early ones: Hero's Trial, Claire's Inner Demon, Celia's Hunting Day, Path to Healing, Healing Revelation, Final Dawn, Ancient Recipe, Artisan's Request.
The names are taken from the client and match what the game shows. If you have played one of these and know how it works, you can write the page yourself: the "Create page" button sits in the account menu, and editing opens right on the article.
