Kingdom War: towers, opponents and rewards

Contents

Tools

Kingdom War is decided by hold time rather than by wiping the enemy out: one second of holding the Temple or the Throne gives one point, and victory needs 7,200 points, two hours of clean holding. Corner towers cut that time down, though only in the cross-server version. Opponents are matched by server age, so a young kingdom never meets an old one.

Towers decide it, cross-server only

Each corner tower held speeds the counter by 25%. Hold all four and the multiplier doubles, so victory arrives in one hour instead of two. Going straight for the center is therefore a waste, and the towers come first.

In the local Throne Battle there is no speed-up at all, and it is always two hours of holding however many points a kingdom controls.

Who a kingdom faces

Opponents are matched by server age rather than by Might. There are 9 battle zones, opening on server days 2, 11, 18, 25, 46, 74, 102 and 130. Group size grows with the zone, from 4 kingdoms in zone 1 to 32 in zone 9, and the bracket is a single-elimination tree of 2, 4 or 8 kingdoms.

Season rewards

Personal season rank decides the payout, and the bottom rung is not empty: even a place at the end of the list brings exclusive-weapon fragments and recruit tickets.

An alliance leader in first place gets 3,000 badges instead of 2,000. The gap between the last place on the list and the hundredth is a handful of fragments and tickets rather than a chasm, so a weak player still gains by taking part.

Points for a displaced Sanctuary

Besides holding points, a kingdom scores by striking foreign cities: displacing the Sanctuary of a rival kingdom's player is worth 51,000 points. That is why strong players sweep the rival's unshielded cities on the eve of the war, and why everyone else follows one rule for the war week: the shield goes up in advance and troops come off the walls, because soldiers in the barracks score points too. How shields and War Frenzy work is described on the Shields page.

Titles

Titles are worth fighting for, but the title list shows a sum of the title bonus and the Battle King surcharge. A regular title holder receives only the first part, so the number on screen is higher than what actually arrives.

The bonuses themselves, decree prices and kingdom parameters live on a separate page: Temple Battle. The event that precedes the war on the kingdom map and picks the King is described on the Royal City Scramble page.
