Cheese Trap: boss levels, lures and damage rewards

Contents

Cheese Trap is an alliance event in which members catch the Cheese Thief and hit it with rallies for half an hour. There are two traps, each with its own difficulty, and R4 or R5 start them. The event arrives on server day four, and its 12 levels unlock further along the age of the server, from day 7 to day 120. Rewards follow personal damage and total alliance damage, and the member with the most damage takes the alliance reward several times over.

How the event runs

The event has three phases. In the selection phase R4 or R5 set the start time and difficulty for Cheese Trap I and Cheese Trap II; once the difficulty of one trap is set, the other locks, and activating a trap takes 20 alliance members. A trap that has not been scheduled by 22:00 server time on the last day of the session expires.

In the preparation phase members donate Mouse Lure. A donation brings Alliance Contribution and raises damage against the trap; each trap keeps its own counter, and the boosts reset after the event. The table shows how many lures give which bonus.

LuresDamage bonus
15+3%
20+7%
25+12%
30+18%
35+25%

Donations keep working after 35 lures, but the bonus stops at +25%. A rally led by R4 or an official hits harder: R4 adds 2.5% damage, R5 and officials 5%. A player who is offline still takes part: the strongest troop joins a rally on its own 20 seconds before the end if a slot is free.

The extermination phase lasts half an hour per trap, and only one trap is active at a time. The trapped Cheese Thief does not attack on its own; it only takes rally hits.

Trap levels

The trap level rises with total alliance damage over the event and is capped by server age: even a strong alliance cannot open level ten before day 120. The table gives the day each level opens, the total alliance damage that unlocks it, and the personal damage that pays the tenfold reward.

Personal rewards multiply in steps: the first hit pays one reward, and at level one ten rewards are paid from 20,000,000 damage. The thresholds grow with the level, so a higher level asks noticeably more damage from every member for the same rewards.

Rewards

Rewards run on two tracks. The personal track follows the damage of the player over a trap and pays speedups, diamonds, Gearstone and materials; the alliance track adds up the damage of both traps and pays resources and Gearstone to every member. Below are the thresholds of the level one personal track.

ThresholdPersonal damageReward
1any hit5m Speedup ×3, diamonds ×45, Gearstone ×200, Refined Iron ×7, Resource Supply (General) ×1
21,000,0005m Speedup ×5, diamonds ×55, Gearstone ×340, Refined Iron ×11, Resource Supply (General) ×1
32,000,0005m Speedup ×8, diamonds ×60, Gearstone ×480, Refined Iron ×16, Resource Supply (General) ×2
43,000,0005m Speedup ×10, diamonds ×70, Gearstone ×560, Refined Iron ×19, Resource Supply (General) ×2
55,000,0005m Speedup ×11, diamonds ×75, Gearstone ×640, Refined Iron ×21, Resource Supply (General) ×2

The member with the most damage on each trap receives the alliance reward at an increased rate, from two to ten times depending on personal damage. It is the only place in the event where one member gets noticeably more than the rest, and it is worth contesting with the strongest troop.
