A hero unlocks for 10 of their own shards. The same shards then go into stars, and after maximum stars into honor levels, so a stock of the right shards is never wasted.
Summoning
| What | How much |
|---|---|
| Guarantee | every 50 summons |
| What it gives | 10 shards of a UR hero, an instant unlock |
| Chance of any hero shard | about 26% per summon |
| Of that, UR | 2.8% in the permanent pool, 3.1% in pools with new heroes |
The beginner pool is stingier: a shard drops in about 15% of summons.
One detail about the guarantee: in the permanent pool it always gives shards of the same hero, not a random UR. A random pick appears only in pools that feature new heroes.
What it costs
A summon ticket is 398 diamonds, so a guaranteed UR costs 19,900 diamonds. Tickets are also sold for 2,000 glory medals or 300 expedition medals.
What to do
Count summons as distance to the guarantee, not as individual pulls: spending them casually wastes what you already put in. Save universal shards for one target hero, shop limits are small and scattered shards unlock nobody.
The road to maximum
Reaching 50 stars costs another 975 shards on top of the unlock. Compare any shard offer in the shops against that number.
