Explorer's Camp
Explorer's Camp

Explorer's Camp opens the Explorer's Dungeon, an eight-hour store that pays up to 1,750,020 hero EXP an hour at the top steps. Survivors posted at the camp additionally widen the idle income window. The building unlocks after Sanctuary level 4 and goes up to level 1. Only one can be built.

Levels and cost

Reference levels of the building: what it gives, how much Might it brings and what the next step costs.

Full upgrade

Taking the building from level 1 to 1 costs :res-grain: Grain 120, :res-wood: Timber 120. Pure build time without speed-ups: under a minute.

This building gives no stat bonus: it unlocks an option rather than percentages.

How to use it

The Explorer's Camp costs 120 Grain and 120 Timber, half the price of any other instant building in the city, and goes up in seconds. Everything else that Sanctuary level 4 unlocks costs months: the Walls need 398 days of full upgrade, the Tavern and the Gear Workshop 349 days each, the first march queue 299 days. Next to them the camp takes neither resources nor queue time.

It brings 100 Might and goes unnoticed in the city total. The value of the camp sits in the Explorer's Dungeon: the store runs for 8 hours and pays up to 1,750,020 hero EXP an hour at the top steps, and the haul can be collected from the first minute. A missed hour of accumulation never comes back, so the camp is built on the day Sanctuary level 4 opens rather than whenever it comes to mind.

The camp pairs well with survivors: those posted at it widen the idle income window, and a single building worth 240 resources starts feeding two upgrade lines at once, the heroes and the city.

The same hero EXP also comes out of covert operations, but Black Ops unlocks only at Sanctuary level 9, five levels later than the camp. Until then the dungeon stays the steady source, and 240 resources turn out to be the cheapest purchase of that whole stretch. Instant buildings at Sanctuary level 4 end there: the camp is the only one that never occupies a builder. The eight-hour window closes on its own, so the dungeon has to be visited three times a day.
