Relics are artefacts placed in the city that give permanent bonuses. There are 31 of them, one copy each, and they cannot be demolished.
Upgrading
A relic is bought for universal shards and upgraded with its own. There are seven levels (five for one relic), with stars inside a level.
Stars work differently from hero stars: they are a fill bar for the level, not a separate system. The third star of a level equals the zero star of the next one, and the bonus grows linearly in between. Only SSR and UR have stars, SR has none.
What it costs
| Rarity | Purchase | Shards to max |
|---|---|---|
| SR | 20 | 15,624 |
| SSR | 70 | 728 |
| UR | 140 | 728 |
SR is three and a half times cheaper than SSR and seven times cheaper than UR to buy, but needs twenty times more shards to upgrade, which makes it a poor investment.
One UR relic is an exception: the Beacon of the Age has only five levels and 80 shards to the cap.
What they give
Flat permanent bonuses. At maximum: Warrior Seal gives +612,000 hero HP, the Sphinx gives +6,629 ATK and +5% crit damage, the Twin Dragon Brooch gives +55% construction speed.
Half of them are copies
Relics that look different often give the exact same number: five of them give +108,800 HP, three give +1,600 ATK, three give +6,629 ATK with +5% crit damage. Chase the bonus line, not the artwork.
Only five are unique in effect type: construction speed, covert operations queue, damage to monsters, hero damage dealt and command.
