Nomad Trader
Nomad Trader

Nomad Trader opens the exchange, where diamonds, medals and event currencies turn into the items a player needs. Rates differ markedly between shops, and the best line for Expedition medals is 1,000 Gearstones for 300 medals. The building unlocks after Sanctuary level 6 and goes up to level 1. Only one can be built.

Levels and cost

Reference levels of the building: what it gives, how much Might it brings and what the next step costs.

Full upgrade

Taking the building from level 1 to 1 costs :res-grain: Grain 480, :res-wood: Timber 360. Pure build time without speed-ups: under a minute.

This building gives no stat bonus: it unlocks an option rather than percentages.

How to use it

Sanctuary level 6 is the busiest step in the city: together with the Nomad Trader it unlocks the Barracks, the Training Grounds and the Scout Squad, and each of those three may stand three times over and rise to level 30. A full upgrade of the training grounds and of the scout squad takes 299 days each, the barracks 199 days, and the queue at that level is booked far ahead. Against them the trader costs 480 Grain and 360 Timber and goes up in seconds.

It brings 100 Might, which is invisible in the city total. The trader works as an exchange: diamonds, medals and event currencies turn into the items a player needs, and rates differ several times over between shops. The best line for Expedition medals gives 1,000 Gearstones for 300 medals.

So the trader is built the moment level 6 opens: it costs nothing, and hoarding medals before it exists makes no sense. The real queue at that level is shared by the barracks and the training grounds.

Taking all nine buildings of level 6 to level 30 would run to roughly 2,400 days of pure construction without speed-ups. Against that the trader is not a decision at all: it takes 840 resources and frees the builder the same minute. The trader has one level, and 840 resources stay the only outlay on it for the whole game. Exchange rates do not follow the Sanctuary level, so building it late improves nothing.
