← Alliance: help, ranks and chests

**Alliance** membership pays off in three ways: seconds shaved off queues, access to shared
events, and diamonds handed out when other members hit milestones. Help is the largest part of
it, since allies can take up to two hours off a construction, research or healing queue once the
Alliance Hall is developed. Everything else, from ranks to chests, works better the more members
log in every day.

## Alliance help

The Alliance Hall sets two numbers at once: how many allies may help a single queue and how many
seconds each tap removes. The gap between the starting Hall and the maxed one shows in the two
rows of the table.

| Alliance Hall level | Helps per queue | Seconds per help | Max off one queue |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 30 | 2 minutes |
| 30 | 20 | 59 | 19 minutes 40 seconds |

Alliance technology adds up to 300 seconds to each help, so a maxed Hall and full technology
together take almost two hours off a single queue with twenty helps.

## Help does not apply everywhere

Only three queue types accept help: construction, research and healing. Troop training, gear
forging and soldier upgrades run at their own pace and cannot be sped up by allies. That
distinction decides what belongs in the queue before a long break from the game.

## Rewards for helping

Alliance coins and honor are counted for the first hundred helps a day. Nothing stops a player
from helping beyond that, but the extra taps bring no further reward.

## Survivors in the Hall

The Alliance Hall has four survivor posts, and the Liaison class is the one that changes how help
works. It raises both the number of helps and the seconds each one gives, and the highest rarity
adds three helps on top.

## Who benefits

The Hall acts as a multiplier, because it raises the number of helps and the weight of each at
the same time. It pays back fast for a player who keeps queues busy around the clock, and gives
almost nothing to someone who logs in once a day.

## Ranks

There are five ranks, R1 to R5, and the seats are limited: R5 is the single leader, R4 holds at most
six people, R1 to R3 are unlimited.

Four honorary posts sit on top, one person each: God of War leads rallies, Recruiter brings in
members, Goddess keeps the mood, Diplomat runs daily affairs and resource sharing. They do not
replace ranks and sit above them.

There are fifty-one alliance permissions, handed out across three levels of access. Nine belong to
the leader alone: change the banner, the code and the language, transfer leadership, disband the
alliance, appoint honorary posts, switch on auto-management, call a rally point and share out the
Age Alliance rewards. Another thirty-one start at R4 and cover everything the alliance lives on
day to day, from kicking members and handling applications to launching the blight siege, the
elixir race, the hunt and the alliance expedition.

R1, R2 and R3 can do almost nothing beyond claiming the gift, sending alliance mail and reporting
a message. R4 therefore carries the working load of the alliance: without it no events get started.

Sixteen permissions belong to the honorary posts, distributed in pairs. God of War and Goddess
cancel rallies and recall construction troops; Recruiter and Diplomat open recruitment, start
territory defense, launch the blight siege and share out treasury rewards. The remaining ten,
including declaring war on a city and recalling reinforcements, belong to all four at once.

On the alliance boss the post also adds damage: R4 adds 2.5%, R5 adds 5%, and each of the four
honorary posts adds 5% as well.

## Auto-promotion and auto-kick

Two alliance settings run on their own and are on by default, so both the leader and an ordinary
member benefit from knowing them.

**Promotion by Might.** R1 becomes R2 at 500,000 Might, R2 becomes R3 at a million. The leader can set
the threshold anywhere from 100,000 to a billion.

**Kick for inactivity.** R1 is removed after 24 hours without logging in, R2 after 48, R3 after 96.
The threshold is adjustable from 12 hours to a thousand, and stays at those values by default.

A newcomer who puts up a shield and disappears for a day may come back without an alliance. There
is no auto-kick for R4 and R5.

## Diamond contribution

Contributions cost more with each one made that day: 2 diamonds for the first, 4 for the second,
up to 50 for the twenty-fifth, 650 diamonds for all of them. The cheap early ones are always worth
making, while the last steps look doubtful, since the twenty-fifth contribution costs as much as
the first seven together.

## Alliance level and size

An alliance has ten levels, and they decide how many members fit: fifty seats at level one plus five
per level, so a hundred at ten.

Experience per level grows unevenly, from the first level to the ninth.

| Level | Experience | Seats |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 609,000 | 55 |
| 2 | 4,309,000 | 60 |
| 5 | 23,802,000 | 75 |
| 9 | 54,103,000 | 95 |

Experience comes from alliance chests dropped to members: a level one chest gives 10 experience,
a level six chest 1,000. An alliance therefore grows less from one dedicated member than from the
number of members who do anything at all.

## What alliance chests hold

A chest has fourteen entries and the odds are the same at every chest level; only the amounts
grow: one supply box at level 1 against eight at level 6, 5 diamonds against 100,
250 alliance coins against 5,000. Grain, timber and herb supplies at 15% each, alliance coins 10%, resource stock 10%,
VIP points 10%, a recruit ticket 5%, a survivor recruit ticket 5%, a basic gear set 5%,
diamonds 4%, build and research speedups 2% each, generic speedup and resource stock 1%.

One line behaves differently: **the recruit ticket drops at 5% and always as a single copy, at any
chest level**. Everything else scales with the chest level while tickets do not, so ten small
chests yield as many tickets as ten large ones.

## Golden eggs: diamonds from other people's milestones

When an alliance member pushes their Sanctuary to a milestone, they hand out diamonds to the alliance.
Twenty people can claim, shares are random, and the table lists the triggers and the sums.

| Trigger | Diamonds in the pot | One share |
|---|---|---|
| Sanctuary 8, 12, 16 | 200 | 5-15 |
| Sanctuary 20, 24, 27 | 500 | 10-30 |
| Sanctuary 30 | 1,000 | 25-75 |
| Battle King reward | 8,000 | 168-1088 |

That is the case for a living alliance: the more members keep building, the more often these
payouts arrive. A quiet alliance costs its members not only queue help but this stream of diamonds
as well.

## Alliance shop

Alliance coins are spent in the alliance shop, whose stock and limits are covered on the
[[shops|Shops]] page. According to the publisher's official guide the stock refreshes once a week
on Mondays. The refresh period is not verified on this wiki, see the [[methodology|methodology]].
