← Hero gear: rarities, slots and Might

**Hero gear** is assembled for each hero separately: sword, Armor, Gauntlets and boots. No shared
set exists for a squad, so a team of five needs twenty items. From there an item grows through
strengthen levels, and on the top rarity through stars as well, with most of the Might sitting in
the upper half of that scale.

## Rarities

Gear comes in four rarities named like hero rarities, R, SR, SSR and UR, and told apart by frame color: green, blue, purple and orange. The rarity decides whether an item is worth investing in at all. The publisher's official guide names five colors from gray to gold, but there is no gray gear in the game, and what it calls gold is the orange UR tier.

| Rarity | What to do with it |
|---|---|
| R, green | cannot be forged or strengthened at all |
| SR, blue | caps at strengthen level fifteen, no threshold bonuses, a dead end |
| SSR, purple | the only one with bonuses against monsters |
| UR, orange | the only one with stars |

## Slot profiles depend on rarity

On the lower rarities Gauntlets give only HP and boots only ATK. On the higher ones all four slots
carry two base stats plus percentages, so the habit of reading Gauntlets as a Defense piece stops
working as rarity grows.

## Where to stop

Strengthening and stars are interlocked: strengthening waits on a star, a star waits on strengthening.
Every star but the last is reachable at strengthen level forty.

## Stars and blueprints

A UR piece has four stars, and each star consists of five steps. A step is paid with a gear
blueprint, Gearstones and Tempered Steel, and the price of a step rises with every star.

| Star | Blueprints per step | Gearstones per step | Steel per step | Blueprints in total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 2,500 | 30 | 5 |
| 2 | 2 | 3,250 | 39 | 10 |
| 3 | 3 | 4,000 | 48 | 15 |
| 4 | 4 | 4,750 | 57 | 20 |

One piece takes 50 blueprints, 72,500 Gearstones and 870 steel to reach four stars, and the
fifth star, already of the red MR quality, is a single step for 10 MR blueprints, 27,500
Gearstones and 330 steel. Stars also unlock reinforcement levels: without stars a piece
reinforces up to level 44, the first star opens levels up to 48, the second up to 52, the third
up to 56 and the fourth up to 60. The Fame medal shop sells a UR blueprint for 10,000
medals with a cap of 50; the other sources are seasonal event shops and dismantling pieces
that were already promoted.

## How much Might a set carries

A full UR set at maximum reinforcement (level 60) is worth 733,093 Might: sword 218,228,
Gauntlets 229,885, Armor 161,490, boots 123,489. Promotion adds up to 237,640 more across
the four pieces.

The same set unreinforced is only 96,525, and 193,060 at level 20, so three quarters of all
gear Might sits in the upper half of the scale.

## What the reinforcement thresholds give

Besides the reward, levels 10, 20, 30 and 40 add a separate bonus that depends on quality.
On SSR that bonus works against monsters: sword and Gauntlets give +6% damage to monsters, Armor
and boots -6% damage taken from them.

On UR the thresholds are combat ones and far heavier: sword +500 attack and +5% crit chance,
Gauntlets +500 attack and +4% damage resistance, Armor +136,000 HP and +20% physical resistance,
boots +1,000 Defense and +20% energy resistance. Half arrives at levels 10 and 20, the rest at
30 and 40.

Resistances weigh more than they look: they enter Might at the highest rate of any
percentage stat, around a million per unit.

Threshold rewards land at levels 10, 20, 30 and 40. After that there are none:
levels forty-one to sixty give a linear gain only and exist for the final star.

## Materials

Materials come in five steps: cloth, leather, brass, refined iron and tempered steel, so one
tempered steel equals 256 cloth. Higher steps drop rarely: tempered steel mostly from growth
goals (8,506) and paid bundles (5,250), refined iron from hero growth tasks (9,000) and battle
passes (7,050), see Where to get it.

The synthesis chain is lossless both ways, since each step is made of four of the previous one
and breaks back down into four. Disassembling an item returns stones and materials in full,
though gold is not refunded.

## The forge

Its level unlocks four things and no more: forging the three upper rarities and access to stars
at level twenty. Levels twenty-one to thirty give Might only.
