← Awakening shards: where they come from

**Awakening shards** are a currency spent on nothing else. Opening awakening takes 50 shards, and another 2,870 cover all 40 levels. Only 15 heroes out of 32 can be awakened, and each of them takes shards of their own. Almost all of the supply comes from season rewards and paid bundles, so the stock builds up slowly.

## Where they come from

Named fragments barely drop on their own and appear only in paid bundles, which hold 2,770 of them in total and up to 160 per bundle, and in choice chests.

The free route runs through awakening chests, and their main source is the [[kingdom-war\|kingdom war]] season: 710 chests at season end. Universal fragments come from [[bosses\|abyss boss]] tasks (80) and the event shop for Lion coins: 120 coins each, capped at 10 purchases. Coins drop from rallies and their finds, 19,540 of them in all, which covers the ten purchases.

It follows that awakening rests almost entirely on season rewards and purchases, so spreading fragments across several heroes leads nowhere.
