Source of: Alliance Digs
**Digs** are map spots an alliance excavates together. Alone a spot takes 2 h, which is
why nobody digs alone. Speed scales with the square of the number of diggers, so every new
arrival speeds up the work not only for themselves but for everyone already digging.
Two diggers are four times faster than one, three are nine times faster, ten are a hundred times
faster. The table shows how steeply the wait falls away.
| Diggers | Speed | Time to finish |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | ×1 | 2 h |
| 2 | ×4 | 30 min |
| 3 | ×9 | 13 min 20 s |
| 5 | ×25 | 4 min 48 s |
| 10 | ×100 | 1 min 12 s |
| 20 | ×400 | 18 s |
| 50 | ×2,500 | 3 s |
| 100 | ×10,000 | 1 s |
## What it is worth
Digging alone is almost always a mistake: the same two hours become 4 min 48 s with five
diggers. Calling in the alliance and joining other people's spots saves everyone the time,
and every digger still gets rewarded.
Up to 100 people can dig at once. A spot yields up to 10 gifts, and there are
24 h to collect them before they expire.
There are 37 kinds of spots with different contents: resources and supplies,
Gearstones, skill badges, speed-ups or diamonds.
